eTAP commissioned for ARTC
4Tel’s Work-On-Track application ‘eTAP’ has been successfully commissioned for the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC). eTAP has been derived from the 4PTW product offered by 4Tel which has revolutionised the way in which Track Occupancy Authorities are managed from Control Centre to Protection Officer in Australia.

Newcastle Light Rail Public Opening
The Newcastle Light Rail Network was opened for passenger journeys on Monday the 18th of February. Over 100,000 trips were taken during the first month of operation. 4Tel provided the supply and installation of signals, controls and communications.

25,000 Electronic Authorities
On the 25th of August, 2016 the 25,000th Electronic Authority was issued on the NSW Country Regional Network (CRN). Electronic Authorities have improved safety for train order working on the CRN by 30% and reduced the time taken to issue authorities by 90%.

Real-time Data Feed for NSW TrainLink
4Tel commissioned the real-time data feed of NSW TrainLink trains and coaches to Transport for NSW approved applications. The real-time information is collected through 4Tel’s 4Trak™ software, which uses scheduled timetables and GPS data to calculate estimated arrival times for passenger information.

4Tel successfully delivered Electronic Authorities (EAs) to the NSW Country Regional Network. This technology provides the delivery of automated movement authorities for John Holland. Electronic Authorities utilises screen-based forms and data validation to automate the creation of safety-checked movement authorities.
